I know Veela is a very good sport. Like I keep saying “Move over Weird Al, I saw her first” So I made another parody of another song. The reason I do this is because I have too much time on my hands.. It is all in good fun though :)

Obviously I love what she is doing and this post is also to promote her night at Hush(Victoria,BC) on December 17! If you’re in the area please check it out! She is releasing her debut EP “Preulde” which will include 6 original songs(including San Francisco) and a couple remixes. If you’re into electro-pop I highly encourage buying the CD.

This is something VERY wrong with the world. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. These kinds of things should not be happening.

“They don’t want to put out anything not photoshopped” (that is about what they say)

So in reality, nothing real.

The media just makes it harder and harder for people to accept and love themselves for the way they are.

And…

We allow it to be that way.

A couple years I went on a hike up Mt Finlayson with my friend Alacia. Let me tell you, I was even more out of shape than I am now. It may seem really small to some (really its just a big hill isn’t it?) but I was so proud of myself when I made it to the top.

There is a part near the top where you have to climb some rocks. I had problems with my leg when I was younger so I have a silly fear of climbing and/or falling.

Well with the help of Alacia I did not give up. I kept going and made it to the top!

Conquering a fear is such a great feeling!

I just recently reunited with my creative side. I did keep it going while learning to DJ. There was something missing though. I recently bought a notebook and started writing down thoughts,poems stories and whatever else I feel like. This is what I want to end up using this blog for!

I also got one of my guitars back and have been relearning everything.. I don’t want to say I regret giving these things up. You live and learn.

I don’t want to give a sob story but I hope people can maybe learn from mine..

I went through two big life changing things before I was even done high school. Both of my parents died. My mom died when I was 11 and my dad died when I was 18.

After my dad died I was just really mad and ended up destroying a binder filled with literally hundreds of poems and stories. I don’t want say I regret that either. I just wish I thought it through.

I also want anyone who reads this who loses someone close knows that life can go on beyond it. It hurts. It never stops hurting. However you CAN feel happy again.

If I can do it, anyone can! I know all the people I have lost would want me to be happy. So the last 10 years and especially the last 5 years I have been really happy.

MUSIC and writing are  what makes me the happiest and I will never let go of that again.
